ZEST Treatment
The ZEST treatment procedure uses a derivative of the okra plant, Abelmoschus esculentus in a gentle, painless exfoliation process of the eyelids, lid margin and lashes. ZEST is an in-practice, deep cleansing system that utilises patented Zokrex™ technology and activated natural Okra polysaccharide complexes. This procedure is designed to be both gentle and highly effective providing patients with fast and long-lasting results.
ZEST can used as a standalone appointment as part of a dry eye clinic or used to enhance IPL treatment & pre surgery.
The whole process takes about 10 minutes from start to finish. It provides immediate and quite long lasting relief, having anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and anti-demodex properties. By removing biofilm and microbial exotoxins ocular comfort can be greatly improved in most cases.
By cleaning the eyelid margins, it helps to remove debris and biofilm that may be blocking the Meibomian Glands' orifices, allowing the release of oils onto the eye.
